Our Story
The Chama Station Inn, historically known as The Chama Station Lodge, has a deep historical connection to the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad, one of the last remaining steam railroads in the U.S. Located in Chama, New Mexico, the lodge has long been a central part of the town's hospitality for travelers and railroad enthusiasts.
The Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad was originally built in the late 1800s as part of the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad, intended to connect Colorado and New Mexico. Chama became a significant stop along this route, with the railroad providing crucial transportation for goods and passengers between the two states
